Cajun Navy 2016 Accepting Nominations for Livingston Parish Families – In Need of Christmas Dinner
Cajun Navy 2016 is now accepting nominations for its Livingston Parish Christmas Dinner for the Needy, a holiday outreach eort designed to ensure local families experience warmth, dignity, and a hot meal this Christmas season.
Founded in Livingston Parish in 2016 following the devastating floods that impacted the community, Cajun Navy 2016 was born from neighbors helping neighbors in a time of crisis. Today, the organization continues that mission by giving back to the parish where it all began.
Through this initiative, Cajun Navy 2016 will identify individuals and families in Livingston Parish facing hardship and provide them with a Christmas dinner. Community members are encouraged to nominate neighbors, friends, or families who may be struggling due to financial challenges, illness, job loss, or other difficult circumstances.
Nominations will be accepted through Friday, December 19.
“Livingston Parish is where Cajun Navy 2016 was born,” said Jon Bridgers Sr., Founder and CEO of Cajun Navy 2016. “This Christmas dinner is about coming home and serving the same community that helped shape who we are. It’s a way for us to continue doing what we’ve always done—taking care of our neighbors. This program allows us to quietly step in and help families who may be having a tough season, reminding them they are not alone and that their community cares.”

Cajun Navy 2016 is a nationwide grassroots volunteer rescue and relief organization known for rapid disaster response and community outreach.
All nominations will be reviewed, and selected families will be contacted directly. Information submitted will be kept confidential.
