Disaster Relief
What We Do

Cajun Navy 2016 Search and Rescue began as Cajun Navy in 2016 when an unnamed storm devastated southern Louisiana.
This event would later be called “The Great Flood.” It caused massive widespread flooding.
No one was prepared for this flood, and there was no warning.
Hundreds of people were trapped in their homes by rising flood waters.
Our first calls for help came from family and friends. Realizing that help was needed on a much larger scale,e we created the Facebook page Cajun Navy 2016.
This allowed the helpers and those in need of help to communicate.
