Who We Are at Pinnacle Search and Rescue
When disaster strikes, we’re the ones who show up. We’re Pinnacle Search and Rescue, also known as Cajun Navy 2016—a team of dedicated volunteers with one mission: to save lives and help communities in their time of greatest need.
Our story began in 2016 during the catastrophic flooding in Louisiana. When the official response system was overwhelmed, we came together—neighbors helping neighbors—using our personal boats to rescue families and individuals trapped by rising waters. What started as a grassroots effort quickly became a movement, and today, we’re a nationally recognized nonprofit organization committed to making a difference wherever disaster hits.
Why We Do What We Do
We believe in putting people first. We’ve seen firsthand what it’s like to face the unthinkable, and that’s why we’re here—to bring hope, relief, and a helping hand when it’s needed most.
Each of us volunteers because we’re passionate about service. Whether it’s navigating floodwaters, delivering essential supplies, or helping a community rebuild after a storm, we’re driven by the simple desire to help.
How We Serve
At Pinnacle Search and Rescue, we combine heart and determination with professional training and advanced tools to provide a range of critical services:
- Search and Rescue: Whether by boat, drone, or GPS, we locate and rescue people stranded by floods, hurricanes, wildfires, and more.
- Disaster Relief: From delivering supplies to clearing debris, we stay long after the storm has passed to help communities recover.
- Preparedness: We believe that education is key, so we work to empower communities with the knowledge and tools to face future disasters.
We don’t do this alone. Partnering with local governments, first responders, and other organizations, we’re able to coordinate efforts for maximum impact.
